Toward the end of the afternoon on Cable Beach, the light turns soft over the water and the pathways between the pools and the palms begin to fill with people heading to dinner. Somewhere in that movement, a guest in a Rosewood robe is walking back from the spa. Rosewood Baha Mar is the Rosewood-brand hotel inside Baha Mar, the large resort in Nassau on New Providence, and it suits travelers who want a smaller, more personal base with a whole resort at their door.

What is Rosewood Baha Mar?
Rosewood Baha Mar is one of the three hotels of Baha Mar, the resort on Cable Beach in Nassau, on the island of New Providence in the Bahamas. It is the Rosewood-brand property of the complex, set beside the Grand Hyatt and SLS Baha Mar, and its guests live in a hotel of their own while borrowing the wider resort for everything else, from restaurants to the water park.
It is built on a modest scale compared with the resort around it. Its rooms, suites and villas are counted in the low hundreds, which gives it a different rhythm from a tower of thousands of keys: fewer people at the front desk, fewer chairs claimed at the pool, and a stay that revolves around a single address.
| Rosewood Baha Mar | Detail |
|---|---|
| Location | Cable Beach, Nassau, New Providence |
| Rooms, suites and villas | 221 |
| Pools exclusive to Rosewood guests | 2 |
| Restaurants, bars and lounges open to guests across the resort | Over 45 |
| Dedicated indoor and outdoor event space | Over 14,200 square feet |
| Water park guests may use without limit | Baha Bay, 15 acres |
Rooms, suites and villas
The accommodations run from rooms through suites up to villas, so the hotel can host a couple on a quiet getaway as easily as a family or a group traveling together. Villas and the larger suites are the top of the range, and they are also where the hotel’s most personal service begins.
Think of the setting the way Rosewood guests tend to describe it: a residential feel instead of a lobby-and-corridor feel, with the sea and the resort grounds as the backdrop. What you actually find in a given room depends on the category you choose, so read each room description rather than assuming a feature carries across the hotel.
Butler service
Butler service is part of the hotel’s identity, but it is not given to every guest. It is available in the villas and in the One Bedroom Suites and higher categories, which means a standard room does not come with a butler attached.
For those who book at that level, the idea is a single person who handles the small things of a stay, from arranging a table to organizing the day. It suits a family with a full schedule, a group celebrating something together, or anyone who likes to hand off the logistics and simply arrive at the beach.
Who it suits
Rosewood Baha Mar fits travelers who want the scale of a big resort without staying inside a big hotel. Couples can use the private pools and the spa, families can reach the water park and the children’s club, and groups can use the hotel’s event space for weddings and gatherings, with indoor and outdoor rooms to choose from.
It also suits people who like to move around. With so many dining rooms and bars across Baha Mar available to Rosewood guests, an evening can start in one corner of the resort and end in another, and the hotel remains the place you come back to afterward.
What is on site?
On site, Rosewood Baha Mar gives its guests two pools of their own, access to its spa, Sense, A Rosewood Spa and Salon, and a long list of resort amenities from golf to a casino. The rest of the resort is reachable from the hotel, so a day can be as quiet or as busy as you like.
The two Rosewood pools
The two resort pools are reserved for Rosewood guests, and they are the natural center of a lazy day. Staying near them lets you skip the busier shared areas of the resort when you want a long morning with a book and a cold drink, then head out to the beach or the water park when you feel like company.
A pool day at a resort like this usually flows between sun, shade and a meal nearby. With Rosewood’s dining and bar options and the wider resort within reach, there is no need to plan more than the next hour.
Sense, A Rosewood Spa and Salon
Rosewood guests can use Sense, A Rosewood Spa and Salon, the hotel’s own spa. A spa day is a classic answer to a gray afternoon, and in the Bahamas, where a shower can pass through and clear away again, it gives you something calm to do while the weather sorts itself out.
The resort also has the ESPA full-service spa among its shared amenities, so guests have more than one address for treatments. Which one fits depends on what you want from the visit, whether a quick appointment or a long, unhurried afternoon.
Baha Mar amenities within reach
As a Rosewood guest you can use Baha Mar’s amenities, and the list is generous. It includes The Sanctuary, the Kid’s Explorers Club, the Racquet Club with pickleball, the Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course, the Mini Blue miniature golf course, the ESPA spa and the Baha Mar Casino.
Families will look at the Kid’s Explorers Club and Mini Blue, while pickleball players and golfers have courts and a course of their own on the property. The casino adds an evening option, and it offers live sports betting by William Hill.
Dining and bars
Guests of Rosewood Baha Mar have access to restaurants, bars and lounges throughout the resort, a list that runs past forty-five. That breadth is one of the quiet advantages of staying in a hotel within a complex: you can eat at one table one night and a completely different one the next without leaving the property.
A reasonable rhythm is breakfast near your hotel, a light lunch by the pool or at the beach, and dinner somewhere chosen the same afternoon. Evenings can end in a lounge, at the casino, or simply back at the pool as the lights come on.
Events and celebrations
The hotel keeps dedicated indoor and outdoor event space, which makes it a setting for weddings, reunions and group gatherings as well as ordinary vacations. Even for guests who are not attending an event, the presence of celebrations gives the hotel a lively, occasion-minded feel in the right season.
How does it fit within Baha Mar?
Rosewood is one of three hotels in Baha Mar, alongside the Grand Hyatt and SLS Baha Mar, and its guests share the resort’s amenities, including unlimited access to the Baha Bay water park. Together the hotels make a single destination on Cable Beach, in Nassau on New Providence.
| Baha Mar | Detail |
|---|---|
| Size of the resort complex | 1,000 acres |
| Hotels | Grand Hyatt, SLS Baha Mar and Rosewood |
| Rooms across the three hotels | 2,200 |
| Private residences | 284 |

One resort, three hotels
The resort covers a wide stretch of Cable Beach, and the three hotels share it. Rosewood is the one that brings its own pools, spa and butler service into a complex that otherwise runs on a larger scale, so it works as a quieter house inside a busy neighborhood.
Cable Beach was long the most popular beachfront destination on New Providence, and the redevelopment that produced Baha Mar was announced in March 2010 to revitalize it. Groundbreaking followed in February 2011, and the opening, first expected in March 2015, came in April 2017, with a total project cost of around US$4 billion.
Baha Bay next door
Baha Bay is the water park set on beachfront land directly adjacent to the resort, and resort guests, Rosewood among them, enjoy unlimited access. It is the obvious option when children are along, or when adults simply want something more active than the pool.
Because access is unlimited, you can treat it as part of the day rather than a single big outing, dropping in for a stretch and returning to your own pools afterward. That flexibility is what a hotel inside a large resort can do well.
Events at Baha Mar this season
The resort hosts a run of events as the year closes. A traveler who likes a crowd and a program will find a festival of food and art, a tennis tournament, a major poker series and a New Year’s Eve concert, while someone after quiet will want to know which dates carry the bigger crowds.
| Event | Dates |
|---|---|
| Bahamas Culinary & Arts Festival | October 21 to 25 |
| WSOP Paradise, with $120 million in guarantees | December 2 to 17, 2026 |
| Baha Mar Cup tennis | December 10 to 13 |
| New Year’s Eve celebration with a live performance by Ludacris | New Year’s Eve 2026 |
Tennis fans will find the Baha Mar Cup on the property, and card players the poker series at the resort. The Bahamas Culinary & Arts Festival gives food lovers a reason to plan around the late-October dates, and the New Year’s Eve party brings a headline live act.
Good to know before you go
The U.S. State Department rates the Bahamas Level 2, “Exercise increased caution”, and says most crime occurs in Nassau on New Providence and in Freeport on Grand Bahama.
The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30, so a trip in autumn falls inside it, and the weather can change the plan for a day. Rosewood’s spa, pools and many dining rooms help fill a day indoors, while the casino and events offer evening choices when the sky is gray.
Rosewood is a hotel inside a very large resort, so it helps to decide early which parts of Baha Mar you want to use, whether that is the golf course, the water park, the racquet courts or the children’s club. Villas and One Bedroom Suites and higher are the categories with a butler, and a standard room is a different experience in that respect.
