Walt Disney World: The Four Parks, What Each One Holds and How Many Days

Disney’s own site lists four theme parks and two water parks southwest of Orlando, plus 256 hotel pages across the property (sitemap, checked Sep 17, 2026). Six gates on one address, then, and the question that lands long before any ride does is how many days to book for them.

Those counts come from one place, the operator’s own sitemap: 41 attractions at Magic Kingdom, 35 at EPCOT, 38 at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, 15 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. They measure what Disney publishes, page by page, and nothing else. A page count is not an attendance figure, no visitor statistic sits behind those numbers, so none of the four gets called the busiest.

How many parks are at Walt Disney World, and which is which

Six gates carry six names worth getting straight. On the theme-park side: Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. On the water-park side: Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. All six appear as separate parks on Disney’s sitemap, read September 17, 2026, each with its own published list of attractions and dining locations.

Magic Kingdom is the castle park, its 41 attractions grouped into themed lands. EPCOT divides between future-facing pavilions and a ring of country pavilions, which is where its 107 dining locations come from, more than double the 40 listed for Hollywood Studios. Hollywood Studios builds its 15 attractions around film franchises. Animal Kingdom runs 38 attractions across animal habitats, walking trails and rides. Typhoon Lagoon lists 13 attractions and Blizzard Beach 14, slides and pools in both cases.

The four theme parks sit at four corners of a property with its own road network, far enough apart that going from one to another is a drive or a bus ride rather than a walk. Guests in the 256 on-property hotels use Disney’s own buses, boats and monorail; anyone staying off site drives and parks. Either way, hopping parks eats the middle of the day, which is the strongest practical argument for one park per day. Driving the rest of the state is a separate matter.

Magic Kingdom vs EPCOT vs Hollywood Studios vs Animal Kingdom: how many attractions at each

A listed attraction can be a roller coaster or a seated show, and both carry the same label in Disney’s own count.

The lists move, too: pages appear when something opens and vanish when something closes, so September 17, 2026 is a dated snapshot rather than a permanent figure. None of it measures how many people walk through each gate.

Between 41 attractions at Magic Kingdom and 15 at Hollywood Studios sits a gap of nearly three to one.

Animal Kingdom’s 38 and EPCOT’s 35 land near the top of that range, though EPCOT spends a good part of its day at tables: 107 dining locations against Magic Kingdom’s 60. A day covering 41 attractions is a day of choices. A day covering 15 leaves room for repeats, a sit-down lunch, or an early exit to the pool.

How many days do you need at Disney World?

Four theme parks, one day each, is the working floor. The counts say where a fifth day goes: back into Magic Kingdom’s 41 attractions or Animal Kingdom’s 38, rather than a second pass at the 15 listed for Hollywood Studios.

Three days means cutting a park instead of rushing four, and a water-park afternoon (13 attractions at Typhoon Lagoon, 14 at Blizzard Beach) belongs to weeks with slack in them. For the half of the trip that is not rides, the shape sits in the seven-day Florida itinerary.

When to go to Disney World: school breaks, summer heat and afternoon storms

The calendar that fills the gates is the American school one: spring break in March, the weeks around Christmas, and the long summer stretch. Pick shoulder weeks between those blocks if the dates are yours to choose, and buy the park days once the school calendar is out.

Florida’s wet season runs May through October: humid, hot, and carrying a near-daily afternoon thunderstorm that arrives, soaks and moves on (National Weather Service, via our Florida guide). Put the indoor hours in the afternoon rather than the morning. EPCOT’s 107 dining locations and Magic Kingdom’s 60 mean every park has somewhere dry to sit out a storm, and the queue for an indoor show is a better place to spend it than a parking lot tram.

Disney World ticket prices and park hours

We quote no ticket price, no park-hopper rule, no opening hour and no wait time, and that is a decision rather than an oversight: Disney publishes none of them as a stable, citable schedule (sitemap, checked Sep 17, 2026).
