The July normals come from Mexico’s national weather service, the Servicio Meteorologico Nacional (CONAGUA), and cover 1991 to 2020: an average high of 81.0°F, an average low of 55.0°F and 5.78 inches of precipitation. They are measured at the SMN’s own San Miguel de Allende station (number 11093), in town at 1,917 m. Every figure here describes the town itself, and a hot spring or a site on the edge of it may read differently.
Measurable rain falls on 13.4 days of an average July by the SMN’s own count, and its station sheet does not publish the threshold for what counts as measurable. Things to do in San Miguel de Allende in July

The historic center, where the Parroquia’s pink towers stand over the Jardin Principal, is steep, cobbled and closed to most through-traffic, so it is walked on foot anyway.
Canada de la Virgen is open Tuesday to Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with last entry at 4 p.m. Adults pay 100 pesos and children 25 pesos. Visitors walk almost a kilometer, then ride the final stretch in 20-passenger vehicles run by the state culture institute. El Charco del Ingenio, a botanical garden and nature reserve, is open daily 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. General admission is 100 pesos, and 50 pesos for students, teachers and seniors with ID (fares posted on its site in December 2024).
July changes the air around these places. The walk at Canada de la Virgen and the paths at El Charco are outdoors on all 13.4 rain days. Several hot-spring parks, fed by the same aquifer, sit a short drive out on the road toward Dolores Hidalgo. On a 55.0°F average night in town a soak is an evening option, but our sources give neither their hours nor their fares, so ask each park directly.

Arrive by early afternoon: the walk of almost a kilometer and the shuttle come before the 4 p.m. last entry. Finish with a soak at one of the hot-spring parks on the Dolores Hidalgo road. If rain settles in, move Canada de la Virgen to another day, since the walk is outdoors, and swap in the hot springs or the inside of the Parroquia.
