The official normals for the month, 1991 to 2020, give an average high of 85.4°F, an average low of 74.4°F and 7.37 inches of precipitation. They are NOAA NCEI station normals, measured at the airport, not a reanalysis average for a square of ocean and city blended together. Three miles inland matters a little in both directions: the gauge misses the sea breeze that cools an afternoon on the beach, and it misses the pavement heat of a street two blocks from the water.
